Materials Matter!

Construction materials now often comprise over half of the total climate footprint of buildings. Sustainable cities require lifecycle attention in design, procurement, certification and digital solutions for the building materials. Materials are often the “hidden” element within 8 of 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. How to ensure eco-materials in design and procurement?

Sustainable buildings require interdisciplinary cooperation right from the very early phase. What is the status today and challenges for choice and certification of sustainable materials?

The conference will focus on leading ambitious projects in Norway, suppliers and innovative megatrends elsewhere.
